My name is Olivia Maiorano, a self-taught artist born and raised in Alaska. I live in Chugiak with my husband and our sweet baby boy.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the small, sacred moments that point to something greater; the way light shines through a leaf, dew making a spiderweb glimmer, or the intricate beauty of moss and fungi that looks like a tiny forest village. As a new mom, these moments have become even more meaningful: watching my baby’s curiosity as he discovers the world, the joy of scattered toys after a day of learning, or a simple receipt that brings back laughter and gratitude. My artwork exists to capture these “Kodak moments,” the ordinary made beautiful, and as a vessel to direct our eyes back to the Creator.

I believe all of creation reflects God’s character and care for us. That’s why I create landscapes that stir the soul, personified wildlife that reflect the unique personalities of loved ones, and scripture-inspired illustrations that bring God’s Word to life. Whether it’s a custom hand-painted Bible or a standalone piece rooted in a specific verse, each work is created as an act of worship and gratitude.

Northern Devotion is my response to God’s goodness. Through bold colors, rich textures, and meaningful imagery, I hope every painting reminds us to slow down, give thanks, find joy in the everyday gifts we’ve been given, and root His Word in our hearts. My deepest prayer is that the work I create points hearts toward the Lord and fills homes with beauty, peace, and faith.
